3 important advantages of liquid fertilizers

Presented on the market fertilizers are divided into liquid and solid. The latter have long existed in the mineral fertilizer market. Actually, organic fertilizers in their majority is also a solid form of fertilizers. If the agrarian is going to grow beans on the field, and then use their greens to enrich the soil with nitrogen during plowing, he will also use non liquid form of fertilizer.

Today, there are a lot of technological solutions to introduce such a form on the market, but the common problem for them is the inaccuracy of the dosage. The rate of release of granular forms of fertilizer from the tank depends on a number of factors. The rate of rash from the container itself will be affected by the size of the granules, their structure, humidity. To prevent the solid form from caking and spilling out, stirrers are used, which in turn damage the granules, changing their physical properties right during use. Accuracy of fertilizer delivery decreases directly during its spreading.

Applying various technologies, for example, vibration systems, it is possible to reduce the damage to the granules as they exit the tank and achieve a constant feed rate. And here the second problem is manifested - the speed of the rash should be controlled and synchronized with the speed of movement of machinery in order to comply with the norms of introducing this substance for a given plant variety. For solid forms, this is not very easy to do. Therefore, having set the intensity of the rash, the driver must further independently monitor the speed of the machinery to maintain the intensity of the application at the desired level.

Mixing different solid fertilizers in the same tank is unacceptable, since their physical properties are different, and it is not possible to ensure the uniformity of the precipitation of both fertilizers. Another problem is already nitrogen-containing granular forms - they lose up to 40% of nitrogen after falling on the soil.

Liquid fertilizers appeared later and are a more high-tech solution.

The fluid is easier to control

The «Vodoley» self-propelled sprayer is equipped with an on-board computer with a GPS module that controls the supply of working fluid. Due to the installed sensors, the computer evaluates the speed of movement of technics across the field and changes the rate of outflow of the working fluid. Thus, the norms of the application of the active substance are maintained  more accurately. In order for the amount of active substance introduced in this area to be constant, the outflow rate must changed according to the speed of the machinery.

Nitrogen losses are lower, and functionality is higher

The urea-ammonium nitrate (UAN) includes three forms of nitrogen. Due to the lack of free ammonia, nitrogen loss when using this form of fertilizer is no more than 10% (40% for granulated fertilizers). The liquid may contain several active substances. If necessary, in one tank with UAN you can dissolve other liquid fertilizers, plant protection products. As a result, in one pass of technic, several types of field processing will be conducted at once, which saves time and money.

Safety and ease of use of liquid fertilizers

All the processes associated with the delivery, storage, application of liquid fertilizers are technologically safe, do not allow workers to contact the fertilizer. At the same time, the pouring of granular solid forms leads to the appearance of a large amount of dust, from which it is necessary to protect the respiratory system. Saltpeter in bags is fire hazardous. Similar moments simply do not exist when using liquid fertilizer forms.

All stages of using of the liquid fertilizers are automated. During storage of liquid fertilizers there is no risk of caking, loss of valuable properties. It does not matter what the weather and humidity of the air, because the working fluid is stored in a sealed container. UAN contains at once three forms of nitrogen, which are gradually transformed by soil bacteria into a form accessible to plants.

Thus, the prolonged effect is provided. In addition, UAN is perfectly suitable for both ways of feeding the plant - root and foliar (through the surface of the leaves). The foliar pathway supplies nutrients immediately and directly to where they are needed - in the leaves.

UAN does not pollute the environment and can be used for any kind of treatment - in autumn, early spring or later, already for foliar feeding of the risen plants.
